Eleven years ago my wife Bee and I went temporarily mad and purchased an old harbour tug which we hoped to convert to a floating home. Somehow we managed to save what was left of our little ship from the breakers yard and our vessel finally went back in the water four years later after an almost total rebuild. We've taken the boat to a mooring in Littlehampton, and we're still working away at it. This blog is all about our experiences while we slowly turn her into the boat of our dreams.

Hey Sleepy, that's Tims boat you're referring to! Mine is ugly as sin and still firmly on dry land. Ok- I lied about the ugly bit, but she's definitely not in the water yet, unless it rained really, really hard last night..

hi seb
That generator you were asking about is a Genset one http://www.genset.co.uk/contents/home/home.htm
Lorna's uncle says that he may be able to track down a couple of second hand ones for sale so he'll look into that.
And yes, that is Lobelia alright ( http://boatsareforlosers.blogspot.com/2008/06/moving-house.html ) she's definitely got all mod cons, when we firts bought the boat we were pretty aprehensive and wondered if it would ever be as nice and homely as a house could be. Lobelia proved that a boat can be AMAZING!
Glad that all of y'all on that side of the pond get to see each other! V. cool pic of Lady J there! Excellent work on WA II! Hurrahs all around! Jamie
